I have been given a pheasant that is walking on his toes and rests on his elbows.they said he had been perching alot.he was fed corn.i examined every inch of his legs and feet with a magnifying glass and can't find any thing wrong.im giving him vitamins and gamebird food and his on q bed of soft hay but he won't flatten his feet out! He is very tame and seems to b in no pain when I touch his feet.any ides would b appreciated

Do you know if he was perching more than usual (aka: possible health issue or pecking order issue?) or if he always perched alot (possibly caused a shortened tendon)... I keep picturing women who wear high heels all their life and then take them off. :p
