Pheasant flight pen? lots of questions (pic)

Yesterday, a guy who used to have 2,000 pheasant gave me ALL of his supplies! He gave me a lot of netting 4 heat lamps, 4 chick feeders 3 gallon waterers. and a net to catch them with. I am keeping one rooster and 4 hens. How can I acuratley (sp.) sex them at 6-8 weeks?

Harleysgirl, do release any of your pheasant?

LOL No but I have had 5 get loose. I tried to catch them. They fly high and I am short. 5ft tall. When the 1 hen that just got loose flew up I bet she was 7-8ft in the air. I jumped....lol that did not work.

We had originally planned on releasing some but due to our cock birds killing off some of the hens and some escapes we have decided to keep what we have until this years gets older. Then we may just eat the rest!
