Can you keep pheasants and chickens together in the same pen? My pen is a 78 by 17.5 so there would be plenty of room for them. I just don't know if they would get along and I was wondering if they would contract diseases from eachother. Thanks for your help!

I am new to this and my 13 wk old Goldens are in with the chickens right now (coop and run). They are getting along fine but this is only temporary while I get their pen built in the next couple weeks because I didnt really know enough about them and to be honest I shouldnt have gotten them until I did my research. I would have but would have been prepared first. From what I have been told they can get along but disease and crossbreeding with your chickens can be a problem and the cocks and roosters will fight especially when the cocks want to breed.

Well Miss Hen disease and cross breeding don't sound like something I want so it looks like I won't be putting any pheasants in the chicken pen.
