Pheasants Living With Chickens

Do you know WHY it would be a no? Like, is there anything I should watch out for if they are put together?

the problem is the pheasant, especially ringneck, are very game, they tend to eat other fowl, I de-beak mine when I put from the brooder into a pen, they will even eat each other. That being said sometimes they do really well together, you just need to watch them at first, it usually happens when they are young...Roost

Chickens are disease farms. They are resistant to and carriers of many diseases that are fatal to game birds. A BYC search will show you at least 500 (probably a lot more) or so threads asking about keeping chickens with quail or game birds. I don't like sharing this thread because a captive or domestic animal should never be treated this way but its a good example of why you practice biosecurity.

ETA: Here is a link to a post I made with more information on exactly why you shouldn't keep them together.
