ok so we have a few hatching eggs in the incubator off a friends phoenix birds.. some are white pheonix and some are bb red .. my question is why can i not find them in my APA standard? .. my 13 yr old is trying to hatch them with hopes of a nice rooster he can raise and maybe show at fair etc. but can he show these colors? the parents of these are beautiful i cant figure out why they arent in the standard

They are not recognized, established varieties is why you can't find them. They can be shown, but will not be eligible for anything above Best or Reserve of Variety.
 
Not being a recognized color is an automatic disqualification. So no, the bird wouldn't be judged.

Your son could probably show them in 4-H showmanship, something like that. But if you want to show APA, you have to play by their rules so to speak.

I'm sorry but this is wrong. The birds can still be judged, they are just not eligible for anything higher than Best of Variety. Conformation (type) would be judged the same as other Phoenix.
