I wanted advice on my situation. I have four girls and this will be the first year sleeping outside. It gets very hot hear and in the night, it can be into the 90s and even 100 degrees ( 37 Celsius). It's pretty well vented, but last year they were babies and I had them inside the house ( they are very spoiled). Any suggestions?

I'm aware how HOT it gets in Phoenix ... Your coop looks well ventilated, looks to be under a tree, hopefully when there is a breeze it will blow thru it. You can also help with relieve the heat with watermelon treat, frozen treats, ice jugs, etc... Just remember "treats should not be more than 10% of their diet". Will they free range?

They are indeed free range, what I'm most worried about is them in the evenings as it gets really hot at night. The coop stays on the east side of the house where it's shaded all day ( got lucky). I have water dispensers all over the yard, including the coop.

I'm in SE Louisiana, so summer daytime temps are like your summer evening temps. I use ice jugs, replacing them when they thaw, add ice cubes to their water, and freeze berries or buy frozen berries for my girls. I don't use this in humid LA, but you may be able to do it in AZ. Some people get a mister/sprinkler attachment for hoses and let it run around the chickens, so they can walk under it or choose not to.

I'll definitely try these out, thank you!

Not as hot here as in other places but still the heat and humidity can be a challenge.
Almost lost a bird to heat stroke and learned that Electrolytes can save them.
I give them regularly during heat waves and it's really helped.

Hot Weather.... My birds are confined with no great deep shade for last half of the day so I have to be vigilant during heat waves. I do have shade cloths up on run, which helps, but still not deep shade. To help cool down the coop I have a box fan in the east window of coop, where it's shady...

I ended up ordering a solar powered fan for the coop yesterday. I'm definitely going 6o put it up so the have some air at night time. Thank you for the link!
