Can anyone tell me about Phoenix chickens? I know the roo's get some pretty wicked-long tails on them that any roo would be jealous of...

They are wonderful birds, Some of the most even tempered roos Ive ever met~!
There tails are beautiful and get to be quite long. They need a place to roost that allows the long tail to hang down so it doesnt get damaged. Also I have had the best luck with free ranging them due to cages are tough on the tails but I bet a large coop would work . They are a fun and beautiful breed!!!!

We raise golden phoenix's and they are very tame. I have a rooster my 2 year old named Elvis and she can walk over and snatch him up and carry him around forever. I don't know if he's just given up on her ever leaving him alone or if he actually likes being held. I have another rooster that I always handled since the day I hatched him and he will fly up on my shoulder when we feed and he will follow me around and sit on my lap while I'm doing other things around the yard. I used to pick him out of the brooder everyday and feed him mealworms!!!
