I'm currently thinking of getting into doing photograpy.. Family pic's, egadgement, etc.. Not ready for weddings I dont think.. I dont want to be the one to mess up some "Bridezilla's" wedding pics. Anyhows I did my first session yesterday. Kinda a freebie to get some experience, with some friends of mines family.. We took pic's at 2 different locations and had 3 different sets of families. It was my friend her husband and lil boy, her brother and 2 lil girls and their other brother and his wife and 2 kids.. Done some as a group as a whole, seperate family pics, husband & wife pics, and just kid pic's. I drove to their place, which is kinda what I would like to do.. Im good at outdoor and farm pics. I took close to 300 pic's total, but that was several pics of the same pose to make sure I got some good ones where everyone was smiling and looking at the camera. I came home and picked out the best 50 pics, and I edited those.. some black and white, and to look old timey or brighten the colors.. Took about 5 hours total. I'm just clueless on what to charge.. I dont want to print their pic's but do the editing and then putting them all on a disc for them to take and pick out what they want to print themselves. Anyone thats in on this kind of thing, whats the goin rate.. is it by session, hourly, by frame or what? Any info would be appreciated. I will also add some examples of the pic's I took later on tonight to see if "I'm even good enough" to do this..
