No, I just got the second one, and both might be males.
As for size, I’ve read that 7′ long by 4′ wide by 6′ high is a good start for 1-2 pairs (confined).

Bees are very cute. The one thing about having bees is it has attracted a few swarms. If your getting bees I’d recommend making sure you have an extra swarm box so you can try and catch the swarm, or so you can offer a place for them to make a hive, then you can chose to keep them or give them away.

April really was a cute chick. She was born with a deformed leg, it was facing the wrong way round. We tried to fix it but we couldn’t. We didn’t put her down simply because she could stand being away from her mother and sisters. She passed away from heart failure at 3 months old.

yep. Mine fly on top of their run fence and just sit there.
Also @Chookchicken thanks for the bee tip! I have definitely been looking into it, I’m very interested in fresh honey.
