I accidentally broke one of the eggs my broody hen is sitting on. I feel terrible. But since it was already broken, I opened it up to see how they were developing and wanted to share. This egg is about a week old. You can already see the wings and of course the eyes. She has 9 more eggs, although I don't know how many are fertile.

That is an amazing pic. At least you did it accidentally. My first hatch I thought I had a quitter and opened it to find just about what you found. I felt like crap. I stopped taking out anything that was questionable.
