Incase this is new to some of u, I recently put up a post about my India blue 11 month or so peacock
His coloring is just to me from neck and chest ..etc..

Isn't full in color, as in do u see the green and the dark browns still, along his face and neck ?

Is their an age when a peacock becomes fully blue like I see in photos of other India blue peacocks along their neck and chest and top head?or do I have an India blue with not the right coloring, or as they age their color comes in?
He isnthe one in the front heheheh

Also, they have missing top notches, both he and the white hen..do they grow back in? And how long does it take?

He will color in more when he get older I have seen young blues the same age some will be nearly fully color out and the other looks like your not sure why some color in faster. Your male is also spit white. The top notches will grow back the other birds are picking them off.

I feel so much better now knowing that upper color isn't finalized
And yes, they arrive with their missing top does....heheh, and I do remember the breeder saying they were picked...come to think of it, I just love looking at my spauldings top notch and how long for those to grow back in..my poor peahen needs a wig..heheh

SPLIT white, mean carring the white gene. yes he will for sure color in soon.

I don't know if it is the same for peas but I have seen in my turkeys that they can color faster with different diets. I feed all my poults 30% feed but I have sold some of the same hatch to people I know who feed 20%. I can see them later on and my turkeys look so much better! I know you should only feed peas 20% but I know you bought this bird shortly ago and can't be sure what it was fed for the first 11 months. Some people feed a bunch of scratch and corn as a cheep filler but it has almost no nutritional value and should only be a treat. I don't know if this is true for peas but it could be a theory.
