Photograph constructive criticism

Stinkyacres nailed it. Heres my take...

1) I don't like how the right chickens tail is cut off. If you backed away a little more you could have got them entirely in frame. Also you want to get eyelevel with them for the best perspective.

2) not the best perspective standing above them, looking down. The lighting is nice though. The head is lit brighter than everything else which keeps your attention on the head.

3) this one is nice. Having the nose touching the edge of the frame doesn't feel quite right so I would've zoomed out a little more

4) the lighting is bad in this one. You have bright light on the forehead and no light on the nose. Having more even light across the entire head would've been better

5) of all the pics, this one has the least potential to be a good one. You're looking down at them, so getting eyelevel would help, but the background is very distracting. Between the cage, white/blue bag, trashcan lid, and the super bright pine shavings, my attention is drawn away from the chickens looking at the busy background.

6) I like the composition better on this one vs #2. I still think zooming out a tiny bit more would work but composition is really personal preference.
