To clean it? A soft (really soft) napkin or rag.

Thanks!

Funny.

A few of your photos have a really great subject, are in focus and have perfect lighting. However, there are things that distract the eye away. That gets better when you learn composition.

For busy backgrounds like that, you can work around it in one of two ways. Either change where you were standing to get stuff out of the background (not very easy to do with animals and small children that don't stay where you want them and wait for you to compose the shot! ) OR by learning how to use a shallow depth of field to keep the subject in focus while making the background significantly out of focus so that it's nothing but soft colors running together.

Here are 2 photos to show what I'm talking about

See how everything I the background is in focus and pulls your eyes away from the Lola (my red hen)

Okay, here is another of Lola taken on the same deck with the same background. But this time I used a very shallow depth of field.

I also lowered the camera just a few inches. But see how much nicer of an image this is? The first image was good, but it's what I call a "snapshot" of Lola. But the second one is more of a true portrait of her.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for helping, wonderful observation.
I shall use that as a tip! :)
Beautiful photos by the way!
