Photos..Chicken Tractor in Process

Ok - I started on my coop last week.
Here is the progress: (ps...my father-in-law is helping me build)
I designed the coop myself. Hope it works out ok!

frame and 3 sides:

front doors on now:

i still need to build nesting boxes, put in glass window, trim doors/window, build - cut out chicken door, build ladder, make run.

??? how big should the chicken door be? and nest boxes. what is the 'best' size?

i will post more in a few days.

Looks great, we just picked up the lumber for ours today. My husband and I will begin construction Tuesday. I'm so excited to see how nice yours looks, I hope ours will turn out as well. How big is it?

i am new to the chix business. i only planned on having 3 hens - then it turned to 7 (i ordered 10 incase some don't make it).

i like the way it has turned out thus far...hopefully it will continue.

This is great! Totally inspiring. I am new to chickens, too. We have 6 sweet little week old babies living it up in their cardboard box palace right now behind me. I am getting myself psyched up to start building on Tuesday, as soon as the rain passes... Seeing how beautifully yours is turning out is getting me excited!! keep posting pics!
