The second coop came yesterday, so I spent the entire day painting it..still have to add my finishing details to the coop
And add exterior mounting boxes, more ventellation, the run..etc

At first I wanted two coops..one for bantys and one for standards..but the more I read the more I find they can and may all get along

Now confused ...do I even do that? Or do I just use the larger one first- pictured on the left. I hear you can divide them all up but at night they may still cram into one..and it's not the small none I want them to all cram in..lol

So should I just start them all in the larger coop?

Here's what I do have 2 little seremas, 1 Cochin, and 2 silkies that iam absolutely keeping, found homes for all the others that hatched since this all started with and for my best friend that passed away a couple of months ago. I incubate and then give them to her dh and now keep some for me..cause all that taking care of I couldn't help but fall in love with chickens too..who would have thunk it..lol, me a total city chick! LoL,

Yesterday it was so gorgeous took them outside and put them in that little run while I painted the other coop

In my box I have 5 healthy bandy americaunas, in my bator I have bcmarans and wheaten and bandy favorelles

Dag on iPad keeps correcting my words,to what it thinks it should be..so please forgive me for their spelling, lol

My goal to keep 1 banty amerecauna and 2 marans and 1 favorelle oh no maybe 2 because I think I want a fav rooster and a bc rooster

Ya think? I am so confused..lol

Should I have roosters and out of the banty amerecaunas , the bc , wheaten marans and the favorelles..which breeds would u keep roosters from????

All together it would look like I would then have 9/10 chickens..2 standards the rest bantys should I just try them all in the larger coop together or make the larger coop the bandy house and smaller coop for standards..see my confusion..?.. Help

What would u do?

Next month I will take the ones ready to be out into their new coop/ I will have the run then complete too

So together that will

I would use one coop as a grow out coop and just mix the bantys with the full size hens. With doing that, you can be sure that your young chicks get the proper food up until it's time to either integrate them with the others or get rid of them.

Grow out house..they grow out in my house..lol

I worry about all that so they stay in my house till their oh my some are almost 3 months old now..lol

You saw the pack in the photo..yep..they all live in a big huge box in my foyer..lol
And roost on the edge of the box..worst lol, is when they litterally fly over to me sitting in the family room.lol

Then when I go to bed I put a screen over the box..so no escapees running around my house..lol

Of course frigid temps this winter may really be why I had them in my house for so long and no coops done..lol

Okay grow out house..but I don't think iam going to be doing anymore chicks again till next year..so again, then what do I do with two coops for this whole year?...

Lol

I would keep them all in the big coop and use the small one for:
broody house,
grow out pen,
chicken time out (bully isolation),
isolation of a sick, or hurt bird,
If I want hatching eggs from a specific pairing or breed.

oh wow, that coop looks familiar.

Did you get that one from up in PA???? Beautiful coops. I have banties in with my regular girls but I plan to separate the banties because I want a standard size rooster.
