I wanted to show off my adorable flock! I am a first time chicken momma and I don’t have many people in real life who find my chickens this exciting and cute. So I’ll gush to some fellow chicken lovers!
My coop is called The Burrow! My flock are all 12-13 weeks old. They are all really sweet, I sit on a chair in the coop and they fight over my lap to sleep in. Stella and Annette are particularly affectionate, they will choose laying in my lap over treats (fruits and veggies). So far their favorite treat is blueberries. They’re getting scraps from my garden as well! They’re entertaining and I just can’t believe it’s possible to love chickens this much. We recently upgraded their dirt bath to a 200+ lb tractor tire and they seem so happy laying in it and bathing in it together! I also have a few cameras set up, and I check up on them more than I care to admit when I’m in the office.
Stella- buff Orpington
Rosie- light brahma
Bonnie- barred rock
Ginny- Rhode Island red
Annette- mottled houdan
Here are some photos!
