Photos of our new Chickens!

So yesterday we got five new additions to our ever growing flock! The story is we had two Lavender Orpington chicks; we hatched both of them in our incubator, called Clover and Peppa.(Clover has now turned into Captain as we've decided he's a cock). Sadly last week Peppa got pneumonia and despite taking her to the vet and giving her medication she didn't make it. Captain was then alone in the coop and run by himself (we have the older chickens that he could see but he was still lonely). We decide to go to a poultry sale yesterday and we brought home five pullets - an Australorp, a Cream Legbar, a Welsummer, a Silkie and a hybrid (Gold Laced Wyandotte X White Star). There names are Ebony, Victoria, Nutmeg, Heather and Sparkles. Captain loves his new friends and they are all settling in well!
