That is a beautiful well loved flock. And a colorful mix. Thanks for sharing the pics with us.
I just cant get over that little gold sebright X. He is adorable I cant figure out the single comb on him thou LOL. He even has the perfect little slate blue legs nice wing set ect....That also looks like a nice little sebright hen. You must have hours of fun out there.
I have always loved the barred birds. I used to have them and loved them. unfortunatly they were dominiques and they all got mereks disease and died , it was a heartbreaking time for us to watch one after the other fall ill. Cornell vet said it was probably carried in on wild birds. All of our flock is now vaccinated for mereks upon hatch.

LOL the big pen is all roos, there are a few suspected pullets but I am not sure enough to pull them out yet.

The pen with the ducks, bantams, and pullets is smaller and attached at the side of the roo pen.

That lil sebright roo, I dont know what his deal is cause he has the single comb AND pointed hackle feathers...but the hen is rosecombed...they both came out of the bin at TSC, along with my cochin pair. I was lucky enough to accidentally get a pair of each!

The cochin hen has solid black eyes, but the cochin roo has golden eyes...not sure if thats any indication of different breeds?

Once the roos go in the freezer my whole family of ducks, bantams, and pullets will go into that larger pen as they dont have a tree in their current pen or as much room. I love my Rouen/Saxony ducklings

I cant wait for their colors to come out. My tow darker ducks behind the rouen hen are both males, but one has a normal froggy quack and the other is developing this funky, duck-squeaky toy crossed with a goose honk noise...amusing as heck.

Don, we got the 100 roo special from Cackle to raise them for eating. They arent meat breeds but we are feeding them a high protein diet and hope to see them out of here by the end of August.
