Today I dressed out 12 out of 27 extra Orpington roos. They were 24 weeks old. Beautiful skin and meat. A little harder to defeather since they are not built like the Cornish X's. I was still overall impressed with this dual purpose breed. They dressed out between 4 to 6 pounds each. Going to try them as Capons this year on my next order, they will really be huge then! Good job, my favorite DP breed by far is the Buff Orpinton. I like how white the skin is when they are cleaned and love the meat. Truly a great bird.
