Nice dog, but what's wrong with it's tail? Why are you holding it up?

the handler holds the tail like that just to make the "perfect" pose, the tail is supposed come straight off the spine, it just makes the picture look prettier, the handler is on her knees that's why she looks so short which she's just a little thing anyway and the judge was tall, they usually get the pictures of dachshunds on a table but i guess they had this set up for different breeds, thanks for all the compliments on my dog, she's a great dog, i've waited a long time for one like her, she looks so serious in the pic but she's actually is a clown around the house, her shiny coat is natural she's been like that since she was a baby, i feed canidae and put salmon oil on her food to keep her coat in that good shape
