Wow those are some big white eyes! Great coloration too. I am hopping that two of the three white peachicks I have are males. I have to give one male away to a friend who bought them for us. We promised them we would give them a male. I want a white peacock so I hope two are males. I am still not sure...The smallest one is now looking big and the one I wasn't sure about is now looking small.

Great looking pen in that last picture, I was searching for some peafowl pen pictures today for future ideas and found an old topic with your pictures in it of that pen. I like the plank that goes all the way across as a perch, that is pretty nice.

I am glad you are still sharing pictures of peafowl even if you still don't have those.

I'm sorry you have to get rid of them all. Can't you have two free-ranging just for fun? What is your favorite variety? I don't remember if I asked you that before or not...

Guess favorite pattern is the silver pied, blackshoulder 2nd. now colors is a hard one I like peach ,but also bronze, Tell you what most people love the bronze when they see them, and a bronze bs spalding high % is a bird i would have like to have. I sold my peach white eye ,also all peach silver pied, even had a silver pied peach peacock which are very few of.

They are just beautiful Deerman! Romeo, the silver pied I got from you, had his first white eye form in his yearling train - I was so proud to see it! He is going to be absolutely exquisite when he gets his full growth.

I agree w/ you on the bronzes; I am growing more & more appreciative of D'artagnan - his coloring is subtle, but elegant, especially in full sunlight. He, too, will be outstanding when he reaches his full growth.

Thank you for sharing your pics with us. Very special birds, from a very special person.

Hi Minxfox,
Before you buy a adult male white peafowl, you need to think about what will a predator do when it saw a white bird.

White peachicks are much more likely to be caught & eaten by predators than normal-coloured peachicks.

Given the chance the raccoons will go for white peachicks, because white birds are eye-catching and stand out against dark background.
White colour on plumages & furs send a message "Eat me"

Normal coloured peafowls that rangle in your land are likely to lives longer & much less likely to be eaten by predators, because female & immature peafowls are brown coloured and peafowls roost at top of trees.

So a Horned owls will pick on white birds only from their roosts, while wolves, raccoons, bobcats chase the white peafowls, but leave normal coloured peafowls alone.

Have you seen a white deer ? a white crow ? white rabbit ? NO, as white animals are weeded out of existance, by predators.

I'm very sorry you lost Drangon and Pips.

Cheers

Clinton.
