Pick a duck for me!

I think Muscovies are just so full of personality it is crazy...and they are very unafraid of people compared to alot. I wasn't fond of their red faces at first but it totally grows on you when you realize what quirky and smart birds they are!

I love the Runners the best because of their looks and their dainty-ness, but they are more nervous than some other breeds I have been dealing with in the last year. But I just cannot stop watching them, they fascinate me and make me giggle! Plus if you breed them yourself I am sure your ducks would be less nervous of you and quite affectionate, but all the Runners I have dealt with have come from someone else so they take some time to get used to me.
I am currently trying to convince my new Runner army of 4 that I am their new Mum and its a bit trying so far, but we'll get there!

Actually and there are two Pekins I know and truthfully they are pretty talkative and friendly as well! Quite brave, love their food- lil piggies!!

Yeah ...i figure he or she will be no good without a mate...i just wasnt meant to have mandarins...i'll guess i'll stick to domesticated ducks

muscovies fly very well i recommend swedish buff or pekin thats what i raise and i love them they are all to heavy to fly except one unusually small swede hen!!!

...you're right...if she wants them not to fly hahaha maybe don't do Muscovies then.
But the ones I take care of (the neighbors...I only have ducklings too young to fly yet..) at least always come back they don't fly away permanently.
Mostly they just use there flying for "field trips" around to the neighboring yards and then come back.

Love my Pekins...I have 18 of them and they are friendly, chatty and hilarious...I have 4 Rouens and they are a little skittish...I would say Pekins...they are definately not going to fly and lay well...
