Picked/Bloody Butts--BLUE KOTE?? WHAT ELSE??

When Buff the rooster came to us, he was in pretty bad shape from the chickens at his other home pulling and pecking at him. I finally coated him up good with Bag Balm, and it helped heal him very quickly, plus the hens didn't like the taste at all.

I have a buff rock hen that all of a sudden has a bloody butt and the feathers are gone. they've never done this before. So I removed her from the enclosure and doctored her up with the dark purple stuff that has a rooster on the bottle. It kinda smells like menthol and it's dark purple and it covers the bloody butt area. I put her back with other 5 hens and one of them did go up to her butt but definitely didn't peck her. I think the smell actually helps they don't like the smell. Boy was it bloody. I took her inside and took a warm damp washcloth and cleaned it up and then applied the medicine. I will keep a close eye on her and see how it goes. Should I put her in another enclosure until she heals or just keep her with the rest and re-apply the medication daily until it gets better?

Thanks.
