We are fairly new to raising backyard chickens. We bought all 6 of our girls at the same time when they were just little chicks. They are over a year old now and have been living in the same coop since they were able to go outside. Lately, we have one girl that is being picked on by the others. They will not let her in the coop at night. Our chickens did not read the book on going IN the coop at night and in the summer, tend to roost on top of the coop(all but one). They will not even let her up on the top. She lays on the next level. I did try to put her in the coop last night and watched what happened. She went in and started to eat and the other birds jumped on her and pushed her out. Her comb is not as red any more like the others either. She is eating but not sure about laying. We are thinking she could be laying somewhere else in the yard.... Not sure what to do at the moment. She is eating and acting normal otherwise. Any help would be appreciated!
