I have my youngest still under lights (10 blue Plymouth rocks and 2 Easter Eggers) so I put them in a 4x 8 section.

The rest of my flock is in the other half of the coop and didn’t seem to know what to do with it! Lol

I will say my barred rock (two pullets from 3/19) I am not super thrilled with... they actually peck at me. They don’t seem to be the personable birds I had hoped as of yet.
I have 5 Australorp, 1 golden comet, 4 olive Eggers (straight run but I think at least two cockerels), 5 silkies and I’m praying they are not all cockerels. This weekend I’m picking up 2 cream legbar pullets, one cockerel and 4 Marans straight run.
I’ll have my coop split so my blue Plymouth’s and other birds will have the majority of the coop. The 4x12 section will be the cream legbars and whatever pullets I end up with of Marans, OE, and possibly my Easter Eggers. The last section of coop which I have to build in more ventilation (it’s 4x 8 or 10) will be the silkies (I hope there are some hens in there) and possibly an Easter Egger.

I was pretty lucky to find the chicken tractors free today. They just need a little tlc but will work- I’m getting ten freedom ranger meat birds but once they are processed (11 weeks) my layers will get the tractors. They already have the run which I’m working on planting sunflower and building natural perches and roosts.
