It depends on what you would call beautiful and rare. People who stick to small to feed store chicks (like Barred Rocks and Rhode Island reds) could be amazed by bearded, naked necked or frizzled chickens.
Take a look at greenfire farms for expensive, but great stock. Not completely needed for pets, but if you can afford it go for it.

You can easily get Easter Eggers, like an off brand Ameraucana(don't listen to feed store bins saying Ameraucana, it's a EE), and many other beautiful breeds in
TSC for pet quality stock.
I got dragged into
TSC Bantam bin last spring and I got some cool breeds. I'd like to apologize for the chicken spam you're about see.
Female Lavender Old English Game Bantam.
Female Silver duckwing Old English Game Bantam.
Female Porcelain D'uccles (or maybe Booted Bantam considering this girl has no beard or muffs) I also have one that does have the beard and muffs, so she is a Porcelain D'uccles to my knowledge.
Red Pyle Old English Game Bantam.
Female Black tailed white Japanese bantam.
The Batchelor coop. Red Pyle OEGBs, silver duckwing OEGB(not pictured), a minorca(the black one. Quite a neat breed too.) and a silkie off to the right.
I have one more Bantam that came from a small local breeder.
Male Fizzled Cochin Bantam. Very beautiful in my opinion.
I hatched the standard flock myself from eggs I bought. They could be any mix of Speckled Sussex, BBS Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, Olive Eggers, EEs, Leghorns, Red Sexlink and Salmon Faverolles. I think most are a BBS Copper Marans and EE and or Ameraucana mixes. Even mixed breeds can be beautiful. I'll add what I believe is the mix if I have opinions on the specific chicken.
All of these are pullets, a female chicken under a year old.
Assumed EE black copper marans mix from the beard and copper coloring around the neck.
Salmon Faverolles. Not sure if she's pure or not.
Black or blue Marans(?)
Same pullet, just a couple weeks difference. Definitely going to lay soon.
Again, a few weeks difference and about ready to lay.
I believe she's part leghorn.
Blue copper marans and EE mix.
The one on the left is also most likely a black marans.
Black copper marans
Gimpy my favorite girl. Black copper marans and EE mix.
Even mutts can be beautiful! I hope you find your perfect breed soon!
