Picking up Lings

Has anyone had to have someone other than themselves (who's name is on the shipping label) pick up their ducklings from USPS. How did you authorize and how did it go? My plan is to write a letter giving permission and attach a picture of my drivers license.

Any ideas? Freaked out future 'ling mom.

Could you call ahead of time, and let them know someone else will be picking them up? Maybe they could write a note for whoever is there to let them pick them up?

I called and gave the post office my number and asked them to call me as soon as they arrive. I'll let them know who is picking up at that time. Thanks for the suggestion!
