DH just asked me why I gasped....swimming down the Kanawha to the mall on the side of a barge! You nut. lol
It was mid 60's when we lived there. No mall then.
Wait, is this Rob or Kathleen? Because if its Kathleen, the jury is still out over who has the bigger kahones in your house.

Yes we were brave ones! This was mid to late 70's, for me. We stopped doing it after one of the barge captains caught us and threatened to call our grandparents. God forbid if my great grandpa has to get the car out let alone drive to the big city! He would have tanned our hides for sure.
I was just telling my grandma about you and she is so tickled that there are more WV's here in Indiana. Maybe this thread should be called Who misses West Virginia? Where in Indy are you if you don't mind me asking?
