Decided it was time to post a few pics of our chickies. Our 3 big girls are 11 weeks old, and our new babies are 11 days old. Includes the mystery white chick that that Natalie and I asked about in the "Breeds & Genders" forum last week. Still can't figure it out. Looks exactly like our White Leghorns except for the puffy cheeks and 5 toes. Anyway, here they are:
First time outdoors. Little TJ down in the corner, from Trader Joe's. 4 Sicilian Buttercups and the 5 Chicks from Natalie. I am starting to think we ended up with 3 girls & 1 boy in the Buttercups, cross your fingers! That would be too perfect!
TJ and Mystery Chick. Look alike don't they? MC has 5 toes.
Two EE's, hatched from identical blue eggs, and have identical markings, but the one on left is brown/black, on right is silver/black. brown one has 4 toes, silver has 5 toes. both of these chicks are so cuddly and love to be held. hope both are girls! wonder if they will both lay the blue eggs?
Mystery chick, aptly named Mystery.
TJ, another un-surprising name. he/she is so tiny and fragile. a true miracle chick, as the hatch was really a disaster. never thought it would live this long!
The little grey/black EE. Such a love-bug! 5 toes.
Our 3 fav's. All so sweet and cuddly. All love to be held and snuggled. 2 EE's and what we believe is the RIR mix.
