I had no idea you had a Golden Spangled Appenzellar Spitzhauben! The main hatchery I know of that sells them is Cackle, the hatchery in your home state. I really like that breed and would like to own some, but especially the Silver Spangled variety.

I like Spitzhaubens too, but this bird is acutally a Golden Brabanter.

About four months ago I lost my whole flock to an unknown predator. I bought and incubated some eggs that hatched out September 22. I have so many pictures so it was hard to choose only a few!

This was taken on the first warm and sunny day in a few days. Everyone was chicken puddles for most of the day! This is my favorite picture of that day.

This is my favorite 'funny' picture.

This is gimpy. She/He had a slipped achilles tendon during late chick-hood. Gimpy has some trouble walking but can still jump up on my leg easily.
