Are you going to brood them in there from day 1?

If so, you should really look in to some way of blocking the breeze/wind.

summer in L.A. u dont have to worry about the weather and and i know u wuldnt know, but the location makes it really draft-free

That is what could be called a "fresh air" house. I use a similar plan and am convinced it is quite possibly the best way to keep chickens.

wow that is so great I wish I had a nice big airy coop like that in arkansas as it get's so hot and humid here in the summer. that's what I call a room with a view. trudy

That is a fantastic coop AND you don't have to go moving them from one to the other

I can't keep mine out yet being in WI where it still gets down close to 35 at night STILL! UGH! Anyway...wanted to ask you what type of flooring you have...would something be able to dig its way under and into the coop? Or is it wired?
