The white and brown male is a rescued rabbit that had maggots all around his bits, so he is infertile, and the brown feamale's mother is angora, and father was a wild rabbit that got in to the chicken run, luckily she only had one
the mom I gave to a friend who had more time to groom her, it was imposible to do that and all of the other stuff, hope that awnsers your question.

nice. i have nearly just over 40...
hi, i dont think i could cope with so many, in spring i allways sell the extra roosters and keep the best layers and the 2 bantam mutt hens (best broodies ever) so i end up with 11 or 12 chickens,
i just LOVE having chickens it is wonderful, and each year the chicks that hatch are more and more healthy, every year i buy 2 new roosters, or i keep the healthiest looking of the sons, so each year the genetic diversity is better and better
Hi there,
i got my camera working!! yay!
It has been ages since my last post, so many things have been happening, here are the updates:
- I have rehomed the lemony coloured bantam roo (serama/oegb x) because he started chasing the hens down in the morning to mount them, even the pullets.
- We ate the turkey's for x-mas dinner (delicious!!)
- Most of the hens have been molting, so that is why some are missing tail feathers, etc... the most dramatic changes are in the blue cochin hen, the english game x/ cornish x buff orp hen and SB's grandson, he has matured so much, and is really good with his flock, his aunty, his mother, his grandma and whatever chicks the hens hatch out, i wont be hatching any of their eggs because that would be just weird
- I have rescued 2 more battery hens that were in an apalling state, now are ending their molt and are looking much better.
- About 7 weeks ago a cat got in the coop and killed all of the chicks (the silkied serama x silkie, SB's chicks and her daughters nine chicks), the male rabbit and most of the pigeons, it was just horrible.
- I have a new male angora rabbit, a new feamale lionhead rabbit and a new tiny little dwarf rabbit.
- I have 2 new roosters in with the layers, a RSL and a mutt that is way to agresive and is going to the pot sometime this month.
-SB has hached a new clutch sinc the attack and they are all doing well.
Thats it i think, if you see anything that is new tell me and i will add it

This is a pullet that hatched last june, i thought she was a roo but has just started filling in and has hardly no crest, i thought she was a he because she is VERY leggy, when she was little she looked like a modern game, her mother is my best layer (the one in the nest) and the father is a bcm marans roo that went to a friend in july.
hope you enjoy i really apreciate the nice coments.
This is probably one of my favorite thread posts with pictures. I LOVE when people know who's babies "these" are, and family lineage of their chickens. You have a very beautiful flock. Do any of SB's daughters go broody?
