I thought I wanted Pilgrims but after reading about the Buffs I am hooked, now I just have to find someone in my part of the country.. They are gorgeous...

I picked up my first pair of Buffs in August last year along with an African gander. I had a lone African goose who needed a mate. I like the Buffs size and color. Mine are a little skittish. I just separated the pairs today, the two ganders got into quite a tiff over the buff goose. I think she is getting ready to lay. I am curious to see if she broods.

I do believe the male is in front. He is a little darker and slightly bigger. The hen is a little light in color. The gander flew out of his new pen last night, not happy being separate from the Africans. We put him back in and so far he is staying put today. I'll see how long that lasts. I really don't want mixed babies, so he better cooperate!
