This was my second attempt in the Bator, the first batch had been outside on quite a few really cold nights and only one hatched, but didn't make it. sad
This time I collected them as they were laid, set 13 of them. At 2 weeks 11 looked good. So far 7 have hatched, and three more are pipped!! celebrate

They are BBRed OEG. I think ones a Roo & ones a Pullet. But don't know which is which. Any body know for sure? idunno

Thanks, I think they're pretty cute too!

Well they are Game's and the Roo is yellow legged & mostly red with a black breast. And the hen is also colored like a BBred but has green legs.
Maybe, I'm using the wrong color to describe em.

They could go any way boy/girl, girl/girl, or boy/boy. But just looking at the parents I am going to say the darker one is a girl and the lighter is a boy. If they are yellow legged I would think boy and Green/blue I would think girl. But however they do turn out it should give you a small idea of what to expect out of any future offspring of the pair. Is the hen a Gilmore? Are all the new chicks off the same parents? If so, it might be easier to compare all of them.

Yes, all the chicks are from the same parents. I have them single mated so I can keep track of what they are for future breeding. No the hen isn't a Gilmore, I was told she is roundhead/bullock. I'll have to get a picture of all of them on here, maybe that will help.

I am familiar with Roundhead which are pearl legged, but not Bullock. But It appears that Bullock is green legged. So you have a change with pearl legged chicks that should be male. Majority should be yellow or green....but mixing can create a blue legged and these would be either sex. I have seen both dark and light color chicks go both ways but I think that the light one should be a male....but like I said I am not familiar with Bullock bloodlines. Sorry I can't be anymore help.

Thanks for the info! I'm not sure if the leg color of the peeps will change with age or not but at this point they all have yellow legs. All of the Bullock games that I have seen are Green legged grey's. Like a Golden Duckwing. If that helps any.
I tried the wing sexing they all look basically the same. I suppose it really makes very little difference, as far as appearance goes three look darker with stripes, three look quite buff, and the other four look to be a little of both.

I'll try to get a pic of all of them posted.
