I am wanting to compare my keet's development (size) to the average keet to be reassured that it is growing as it should. I understand that there are a few factors that could influence a keet's development, but maybe there is a standard scale one can go on? I have been searching on this website and on the whole of the internet for images of Guinea Fowl at verious (hopefully weekly) stages, but thus far have been unsuccessful (I could be Google-ing the wrong words). Can anyone please provide development pictures or please point me in the right direction?

I don't have the greatest pictures, nor do I know if my guineas are "average" or not. But here goes.

Here's when my first batch came in in 2022: About 2 days old.

You are an absolute star!!!
Thank you so very much for this. It certainly helps.

[Funny thing - it is around 3 o'clock in the morning here and my dog woke me up to go out. I don't normally check my phone during the night, but tonight I did and it was such a nice surprise to find your awesome pictures which I see you posted just a few minutes ago.]

My keet is seven weeks and one day (50 total days) and judging by the pictures provided here, it may be a little behind in its development. It did have a rough start in life so maybe it is to be expected that it is taking longer to mature. Someone told me that they read in a book that the lameness it had in the lower part of its legs, for its first few days, may have been from a lack of a certain Vitamin in the egg white?

Keet development stages.jpg

The development stages of my keet so far.
In the first picture, at two days old, it could not walk as it was still lame in its lower legs. I can not remember how old it was when it started flying but it flys really well.
The last picture was taken today.
