Pics of my Blue and Splash Orps

I went out this morning after our wonderful ice storm and got some pics of the Blue Boy and Big Mama, splash orp hen. The other buff orps you see in their pen are the ones I hatched out on Halloween. They are now going on 11 wks.

I can't wait to hatch out some of those blue or splash babes.

Thanks, yes they are awesome birds. Those are not very good, but it's too cold outside to retake them.

PC, she is a tank of a girl! See, case in point....if I send out eggs that contain splash chicks, they are pullets. If I hatch them here, they are cockerels. I'm glad you have her-she's a beauty!

LOL, like father, like son! Suede's crow is my favorite of all my boys and he does the same thing when I pick him up. Have to bend at the knees not to throw my back out. BIG BOY.

Hey tx, how is your boy's temperament?

He is pretty laid back. My buff roo and him were fighting through the fence the other day. That's normal he was protecting his girls. He is always so polite with the others, shows them their treats, picks it up in his mouth and drops it for them. He did not like me bending down like that with the camera. His poor comb is healing from Ceasar and him fighting through the fence.
