So I FINALLY caught their good sides... here they are. I have NO IDEA what to name them. I didn't get them when they were babies, so they are finally warming up to me after a month. They crack me up, they chase vehicles that leave or come in the yard. I love it. My gaurd dogs. Maybe I should name one Brutus. I am not sure if they are male or female, but i do have a leader and a follower. One takes the initiative to "attack" the vehicles, and the other waddles behind.

I was told when i bought them in June that they were "6 months" of age.... They ARE HUGE! I am new to geese so I have no idea if that's correct or not. If it is, i'm scared to see how big they will get by 1 year!!!!!!!

They're gorgeous..

Re: Them being six months old.. Well, them being 6 months old in June would mean they hatched in January, which means their eggs were laid in November or December.. Goose breeding season is spring/early summer. I see lies.

Good news, however. They're still pretty!

Probably a bit younger.. Maybe hatched in late February/early March. Geese grow fast! Expect an egg next year if you actually have a female.. Probably from the "follower" (is that the one in the back of the picture?).

They're beautiful!

I've never seen those before. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!!! Oh really, you've never seen them?? Neither have I till my mom brought them home for me. I have NO IDEA how many different breeds of geese there are, but when i think of them, i picture the ones with the big knob on the top of their beak. I need to research and learn my geese.

IF i have a pair, i promise to sell eggs

Yes "the follower" is the one in the back of the picture. I NEVER see it honk or anything. It just waddles along, following its friend.
So should i assume they are young because they havent tried to mate?

The one up front is super loud! Its so cool, but I bet my neighbors dont think so. Hey, my geese can honk, if everyone elses dogs can BARK ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
