No i didnt force them to sit.
I took eggs at the start which was the 7th of april for the yellow hen and did so as any were laid .
Then on the 3rd of may i thought she was laying an egg when i went in so i left her till later.
That evening she was still there so i got her to move and saw she had been sitting on one egg.
So i placed a few more there and she went back on them .
Same story for the reds, only one was hatching so i left her, went out one day and the other hen had settled in beside her.
But come hatch date when the first hens chicks came out, the other hen left the unhatched eggs and i tried to get them to bring inside but the two of them
went mad for me.
So i left them as i didnt want to stress them or the chicks.
Eventually when i got to get the unhatched eggs and candled them the chicks inside were half formed as such.
I have a reeve hen hatching now at the moment she set herself.
And this is my first year with pheasants, i am using incubators also.
