Pics of my larger brooder

I love it, John! You certainly did accomplish something. Now to get Dh to take a look at this. I may want mine to be a bit narrower so I can actually get it out of the bsmt at some point, LOL, but I sure do want one where I can stand up to to the chickie chores. Good job.

Nice job, you were smart to raise it up with legs like that. The hours spent watching the newbies is more fun when they are up for a closer view....way to go!

Hi John,
That looks neat.
I may just copy it

I wanted one that I could clean at chair level and was easy to get myself into to clean. With the laminate sides and Plexiglases front it would clean up without much effort. I will probably have to increase the heat in the barn and add a heat lamp to keep the temp up. Any recommendation will be appreciated. John

That is a really great job, you thought of everything...Now, come build one for me!!....lol

One of my favorite things is that it is big enough to put adult chickens in (it would be tight for a standard but great fit for a bany) wether for illness or for a broody with chicks.

great brooder but you know what would be nice,is some kind of a tray that would just slide out for easy cleaning

this is a brooder box I bought at a auction. It was wired in both sides for a light bulb. It has come in handy with with cold weather.
