I currently have 2 more Lg turners ordered and plan on moving all the electricle boxes to the bottom. With the extra turners I will be able to incubate 16 dozen eggs at a time. I have another mini fridge in the works to become a hatcher. I messed with this bator for 2 weeks before adding eggs. The 2 100w bulbs keep a precise temp all the time w/temp swings less than 1/2 degree. The bator runs for less than 30 seconds before shutting off and only comes on 2 times an hour. That is proficient in my mind. It is a little messy with all the wires and all but will be organized when the present eggs hatch. First eggs 100% hatch rate 48 out of 48 hatched. The fans and turners are constantly on while the other electricle box is run by the hot water heater thermostat.

I am thinking of building and selling locally. what would someone like u pay for a bator like this w/2 egg turners?

your cost+ hourly wage=absolute min price. Be fair but don't give it away.
Thanks for the pics, it looks real easy to build. since it cycles on an off so quick does it blow many bulbs???

I have had it running for 8 weeks straight and have not had to replace any bulbs yet

what type of hot water heater thermostat are you using? Are they as accurate as the wafer thermostats?

Its a stanard single pole thermostat. I feel it is as accurite and more dependable than a wafer type. It seems to do better the longer its on I have it dialed in to +/- .02 degrees my thermometer has not moved from 99.5-99.7 degrees.
