Pics of my new chickies!!

Oh Seramas are adorable!! I really wanted some, but I was afraid that they wouldn't be able to tolerate the cold outside.. My experience so far with naked necks is that they are very curious and outgoing but don't like to be held much. The lady at the feed store said that she thought they were the sweetest breed of chicken though!

That's what I've been hearing:)

UPDATE: The chicks are all still alive! I've managed to keep them alive for 2 weeks now! They're all looking very big now and starting to show their personalities more. So here are the 2 week old pics!

Peep is growing some BIG wings and flying all over the brooder! I'm fairly certain (as I have been from the day I brought him home) that he's a rooster. He is at the top of the pecking order and makes sure that all the others know it. He's much bigger than all the others and is very bold and confident. I'm kind of scared to see what he'll be like when he's older because he already kind of scares me..

Crowe kind of flies under the radar. He isn't very shy, nor very confident.. He just follows the others around does what Peep does.

Bear is a bit of an oddball. He marches to the beat of his own drum and only does what he feels like doing. He's generally pretty laid back.

Dory is starting to grow some pretty wings with buff streaks in them! I have no idea what she's going to look like as an adult. Dory is definitely my favorite. She has a very sweet personality and always hops on my hand when I put it in the brooder. She's confident, but not cocky and is very curious. She's kind of Peep's sidekick.

Cecelia has big, beautiful wings as well! She has a sweet personality, but she's a bit shy and usually just follows Dory around.

The buff silkie (now named Freddie) is pretty scared of me. He tentatively follows the others around and is very cautious.

The white silkie (now named Olaf) is a lot like Freddie, but a hair more confident. I hope the silkies become more confident.. They don't really like to be held right now.

See you all next week!
