Also I just fed them and they drank can I put them in for night without food water in pen until mornign to dave on mess. I do this with my chickens feed water them before they go to roost then around 5 am I pu them out with food and water and never had trouble?

If they are at least six weeks old I think going 8 to 10 hours without water would be okay. They always need water with their food. Until mine were six weeks, I just dealt with some mess. It's not that long, really.
