Such LOVELY chickens, and you can tell there's mutual love and trust there. I adore the pic where he's petting the BR hen and she has her eyes closed, like she's soaking up the love like a sponge. (And what a handsome young man, too!) Thanks for sharing!

I don't think we will be doing the bator thing. Not sure how to raise chicks, but as I have found out on this forum, you can "never say never". It would be a fun adventure and one I am sure we would all enjoy (I think I am talking myself into it as we speak).

i found this thread from a search on vermont and just had to compliment sam on his excellent work. my two 10 yr olds are starting their chicken venture, too, and i'm hoping they do as good a job as sam is doing.
