OK, let's see if this works!! My husband made the nest boxes like the plan in Living with Chickens For easier clean-out, he hinged it (see pics). It's really cool!

That looks great. I also like what he did with the hardware cloth on the windows. I never thought about having them hinged. I thought it had to be on the outside. We forgot and put the trim on yesterday and were unsure what to do! Now I have another project for my hubby!!

Thank you!! The windows were another "invention"!! The windows are double-hung (got them for near-free!)--with his hinged and latched "frames", I can get to the windows to open them and to clean them. I'm glad you like them!
