Looks better than what i would do.. I would just have made it like a regular shed.. I like it.. You have done a very good job.. Cant wait to see more pics.. I see nest boxes.. But dont forget the roosts for them to sleep on..

That is one solid, lovely coop. Very very nice job!! I'll bet that baby is h.e.a.v.y.

I'm wondering - with only 4x4 in size, is there a reason that you need 6 nestboxes? I haven't seen where you list how many chickens you have -- or do I need to read again...You might want to consider using just three boxes for eggs and make the boxes on the other side into a storage area for feed, shavings, treats, etc. Just an idea. And I'd definitely make the spaces above the boxes into windows. The ventilation would be great and you could always close them up with hardware wire and then build runners with plexiglass to slide into place if necessary. Looks like it's under a deck (??) so rain coming in shouldn't be a problem and I think all living creatures deserve sunlight in their living quarters.

ETA: One more thought after looking at the photo again.... where are you going to put the human door? One of the spaces next to the pop door? Make sure it's big enough to reach the corners for catching hens or cleaning....

would love to have the plans for that one, it would work great for a summer breeding coop!
That would take a load off the current coop, and allow seperation for my projects.
