Ok, so my daughter took some photos of our one week candling. (Forgive some of the blur....she IS only 8 you know!) I would like fellow hatchers opinions on the eggs (if they are good or bad, and if they look on track for their "age") Today is (was) the end of Day 7. We chose eggs to candle at random. Here are 17 of our 36 in the bator (13 are really dark eggs so I have no luck candling them, and 6 more are some kind of Ameraucana eggs and the shells are too dence to candle well). I've put our guess on how they are doing above each photo. How did we do?

Unsure- great veining, but not as formed as other darker eggs?

Unsure- again, great veining, but no real dark spot?

I hope we did good, because we swear we saw a little heartbeating in one of the good eggs! Please tell me we were right!

, You can't go wrong with the surfire 6p flashlight. It's compact too so I use it as part of my daily carry stuff.
