We decided to try and track the weights of the chicks for the kids' record books for the fair.

What do you think - both roosters?

We have had them since Friday. I think we are doing an okay job for first timers;) Does anyone know if we can put some type of mark on them or leg bands so we can distinguish between bird?

The birds that you refer to as meat birds are dual purpose breeds.

The black with cream is an Australorp. The first chipmunk I believe is an Ameracauna - if the legs are greenish grey. The little yellow one - Buff Orp or Red? The last chipmunk is an Ameracauna.

I am pretty new to chick ID but that would be my suggestion. I posted picks of my babies on Raising Baby Chicks and had mine labeled by the breeder - they use a washable marker.

The chick with the chimpmunk markings is a EE Easter Egger-they lay green eggs. The EE's are good egg layers, but they grow out of those cute markings they have as chicks.
