I use a plastic boot tray; there's a picture on my BYC page. I like being able to take the tray out and dump the contents into the composter, so removeable is good and lightweight is good, too.
we put up a piece of wood in the front to keep the shavings and poop from moving to the floor when they fly up or down.. it works great.. we just use a dust pan and scoop it out when it needs it.. it works so well we are doing it again in the second coop..
We are building our new coop right now, and your's is the only poop board I have seen that uses the shavings on the board too
This is what we plan on doing, as I think it not only maximizes the space, but allows for more of a weekly cleanup or less, which is all I have time to do, and we have alot of chickens.
Our roosts cover a 4'x8' area, so we needed a pretty large poop board. I searched the BYC posts and found a recommendation from one BYCer to use "tempered hardboard", which is pegboard without the holes. A 4'x8' sheet at our local lumber yard was only $13. You put the smooth side up, and the poop just scoots right off when you scrape it! Here is a photo:
OK. Here's the pic, pre-poop board. now there is a piece of scrap wood sitting on the floor of the coop right under the roosts. Pick up the board and scrape off the "business" and replace.
