I love to photograph my chickens. I have a bunch of extra roosters that run around my yard. They're no good for my breeding program, but I keep them cuz I think they're pretty and I like to have them around. Here are some I took 2 days ago:

Sometimes I convert them to black-and-white because I like the old-fashioned look it gives them. Some of these may be duplicates of the color pics above:

I searched for pics of young chickens and couldn't find many, so here is our little flock at 2 to 3 weeks. (picked up at the hatchery on June 23rd)
This is the 2 red stars and the 2 light Brahmas

Chelly -- Yes, I do breed them, and I occasionally put hatching eggs for sale on ebay.

WeLoveTheChicks -- I really like your pictures. There's something to be said for using a "real" (not digital) camera.

"chickenranchwife" that is a nice roomy coop there

Here are updated pics - I shot a roll of B&W film in about 25 minutes on July 18. Many of the shots in the grass had bad contrast, so I only have 4 uploaded into photobucket as of today - Also, this was their first day out of the henhouse.
