Pictures around the ranch

8 foot fence would be fine for kudu. But with any antelope or deer. the pen needs to be large enough for them to feel safe when something scares them. Otherwise they will hit the wire or try to go over in a panic.

The kudu females I have seen lately have been around $10,000 each.

Can you ship eggs to canada?

We have not shipped any eggs to Canada, not sure on the requirements.

Yes we have all 3. We sold most of our deer, with all the testing requirements it was to costly at the time to keep large herds of them.

Do you have any pics of them? Do you have any of these three for sell ever? What are the testing requirements for the deer?

There are pics of our whitetails on page 9. We still have Elk, Whitetails and Muntjac. We used to raise: Red Deer, Fallow, Reindeer, Sika & Chinese Water deer.Testing is different for each state, you would have to check with your state.

I don't have any photos of the beefalo. The last ones we had are already sold or butchered, but we should have more born next spring.

What percentage is your beefalo? 50/50 or a dilute? How much do they go for? How big does the enclosure have to be? What type of fencing?

Are your deer just "regular" white tailed deer with just unique colors, or are they crossbred? What about the goats?

Testing is different for each state, you would have to check with your state.

Sorry I wasn't clearer- I meant what is the testing for? Are they checking the health?

Thanks for always answering our questions and posting your wonderful pics!!!

PS... Wow those Barnacles are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

The beefalo's we had were 50/50. We now have a Buffalo bull that we raised on a beef cow, which is just starting to breed. We will be breeding him with a variety of cattle to see what we get for offspring.

Fencing & pen size, just depends on the animals. We have kept ours with our cattle in just standard cattle fencing (woven wire or 4 strand barbed wire). The smaller the area they are kept in the better the fencing needs to be.

For Whitetails we raise all the colors- Brown, White & Piebald. I have never seen a whitetail crossed with another type of deer. Deer usually need a TB & Brucellosis tests, may also need Blue Tongue & Anaplasmosis, and usually have to be in the CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease) program. Most deer herds need to be CWD monitored for 5 years before other states will allow interstate movement.

Goats- we usually keep Nigerian Dwarfs and Pygmy.
